Note:

Chambers converted to Catholicism while living in Madrid, Spain between 1954-1961. This work is said to depict the life of St. Anthony of Padua and his ascension to heaven. The seven deadly sins are portrayed in the foreground with the central figure, the Devil, being expelled as he ascends. St. Anthony was described as the “Dr. of the Church” and was canonized in 1232, one year after his death, by Pope Gregory XI.
