Acquired by the Adamson Family directly from the artist
Kaspar Gallery, Toronto

Note:

Painted circa 1880.

The artist was born in England and came to Toronto in 1875. Her subjects include figures and portraits and she also wrote and illustrated children’s books. She was the first woman painter to be admitted to the R.C.A. where she exhibited from 1880-1898.
