Pair of French Ormolu Mounted Enameled Cabinet Vases, Qing Dynasty, Kangxi Period (1664-1722)

Raised on a splayed base, the vase of slender lobed form rising to a hexagonal neck, with central cartouches of florals (peony, plum blossoms, lotus and chrysanthemums) all on a diamond pattern reserve framing swastikas, the whole with gilt highlights. The ormolu with acanthus leaves base, dripping vine handles, and classical register top mount
height 13.4" — 34 cm.
