Provenance:
The Collection of Frederick Addington Knapp (1815-1906) who was given the teapot by his father in London, England, during the early 19th Century. The piece was brought to Canada when Frederick immigrated in 1848, and from then on, passed to his son Bernard Flamank (1840-1915) and subsequent members of the family.

On loan to the Royal Ontario Museum from October 9, 1984 to February 13, 2013. Loan number L984.14.1.
